Life Rhodope Vulture- Kick off meeting

The LIFE Rhodope Vultures project, presented in September during the Vulture Festival in Madzharovo, was officially launched in November with the first meeting of partners in Ivaylovgrad (Bulgaria). More than forty experts from twelve organisations from Bulgaria, Greece, Portugal, Greece and Spain gathered to officially launch the Bulgarian-Greek cross-border LIFE project. The discussion was opened by the Deputy Mayor of Ivaylovgrad, Ms. Svetla Mollova, and she expressed the strong support of the municipality to the conservation efforts. The project coordinator Dr. Dobromir Dobrev, from BSPB, stressed the local importance of the species.
